This project was part of GoGlobal, a centrepiece module based on an international design challenge.

For three weeks, Ian and a team of four multidiscipline creatives worked alongside staff and students at the new Husan school for children with learning difficulties, based in Husan village outside Jerusalem.

The co-design project tackled the future development and associated challenges of the craft based school, including family education and social intervention, site expansion plans, classroom furniture and new activities for students.

Based in Tel Aviv with frequent client visits, the team delivered a number of tools to assist the staff as the school matures. Included was a roadmap and postcard design, covering issues as funding, developing student practices and curriculum. In addition, an inspiration book of creative classroom activities provided a reference for staff to design lesson plans, personal work-trays provided students ownership over their work with easier cleanup and storage. Finally an architectural model allowed staff and students to visualise and manipulate their future space.
